Hello Sailor! and Club Tropicana!

Hello Sailor!

Nautical is a trend that seems to always come back around, but who’s complaining it is easy to wear and anyone can pull it off! Not to mention if you live by the sea like us!

Women

10124711_SnowWhite_447137_001_MainWhen you say nautical you automatically think of navy and white stripes, this may used to be the case but this trend is expanding and mixed up the stereotype look. This Vero Moda long line knit gets away from the tradition with its pink and white stripe and it’s only an amazing £18! It’s an easy dress that you can throw on without even thinking about it team with a pair of skinnies or in the height of the summer, bare legs!

A style that will be popular again this year is the maxi dresses and skirts. We have the ultimate maxi skirt perfect for the nautical trend in navy and white stripes or in plain navy! These can be paired with thin knits or vests, creating a great layered look.

Men

12085636_CloudDancer_446554_001_MainIt is just as easy for men with this trend, a simple striped tee will do the trick! Put a different spin on it by trying this season’s ‘inside out’ look. Sounds strange but this trend sees the fabric reversed so that the bright, printed side is on the inside and the muted tones face outwards. Don’t worry that you will look like you got dressed in a hurry as the labels and stitching will prove you still know how to dress!

IMG_5158If it is all too scary you could also go for a subtle look with our amazing Only and Sons tees at just £7 with a anchor motif! This tee could be teamed with denim jeans or shorts and for added style an open blue or denim shirt.

Club Tropicana!

Tropical Prints are expected to become one of this summer’s best selling trends! An explosion of bright colours and tropical prints such as palm trees, flamingos and exotic flora. Rainforest colour combinations will feature heavily which help inspire originality! The abundance of luscious greens gives depth to the look while the bright corals and fuchsias make the colour scheme more ecstatic. The bright turquoise enhances the basic greens for a more organic feel.

Women

IMG_5148Be ahead of the game and start this trend early with our favourite knit from Superdry with all over palm tree print! Team now with a pair of jeans or in the summer on the chilly evening down the beach with a pair of cute shorts!

CLS809-1dGoing out for the evening or got a special occasion in the diary this patterned skirt from Closet is perfect to sport this trend! The gorgeous colours of fiery coral and deep turquoise complement each other perfectly making you stand out from the crowd. Paired simply with a black cami or top so the focus is all on that funky skirt!

Or if you don’t feel brave enough for a total topical look you can still embrace the trend by wearing a Tropical bandeau top from Only at only £8! Wear when you have a slightly see through top or a drop arm top so you flash the fun print, a great alternative when you feel a bra isn’t enough but a vest top is too much!

If you feel really brave and want to embrace both these trends then we have the perfect top for you from Superdry! With its pink and white stripe it is hitting the nautical trend while with its palm tree logo and florescent colourings it’s totally Tropicana!

Men

Even the men can hit this trend this year as it’s got into their styles too! The only difference seems to be their colour palette with more subtle shades with only a few flashes of fluorescents.

One of our favourite tees for this look is from Jack and Jones in white with light red and navy flower print! This can easily create a gorgeous on trend summer look just team with a pair of light denim shorts!

IMG_5142Don’t just sport the trend on your outerwear think what’s underneath with these funky Superdry boxers with all over exotic flower print, with the bright orange waistband!
